Business Deposits

Are my deposits at Desert Schools insured?

Yes. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the U.S. Government, insures each business' funds up to $250,000. This limit applies to all deposits in savings, share certificates and checking accounts—an aggregate total of all your business accounts at Desert Schools.

Why do I need to order business deposit slips?

To ensure proper processing, we require business deposit slips with a unique internal routing number. This enables us to efficiently differentiate between business and consumer deposits.

Can I make business deposits at an ATM?

This service is not yet available.

I deposited a check at the branch today; why aren't the funds available at the ATM?

The first $100 of all aggregate ATM deposits made in one banking day will be available immediately. The remaining funds are subject to verification. Refer to our Statements of Terms, Conditions and Disclosures in the footer of this page for details (particularly extended holds, new account holds, etc.).

Can someone who is not on my account deposit money into my account?

Yes. Other individuals or entities may deposit funds into your account, if they have your account number. They do not receive a receipt with any of your account information. If you wish to verify the deposit, you may do so via PAL or Online Banking.

Why was my deposit late?

If you made a deposit through the Day Drop at a branch location, the deposit may post as late as 6 p.m. If the deposit was made in a Night Drop, it will be posted by the close of business on the business day following the deposit.
