Current Phone Call Phishing Scam
Recently, some members have reported that someone from Desert Schools called them stating that their card had been compromised and that they needed their debit card number, pin, and expiration date. Please understand that this is a phishing attempt and is NOT Desert Schools. We will never make unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited emails asking you to give or verify personal information. Always treat all unsolicited phone calls with skepticism and do not disclose any personal information.
If you believe your Desert Schools account or debit card has been compromised, contact the Member Assistance Center at (602)433-7000. If you suspect someone has important personal information about you (e.g., Social Security number, account or credit card number, passwords, etc.) that may be used for identity theft or fraud, email us at IDtheft@desertschools.org.
If you suspect you might be a victim of identity theft, you should also contact any one of the three major credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on your credit file. Be sure to order a credit report to check for any unauthorized activity.
